Dr. Thomas Harding learned from his mentor, Dr. James Craine, the nuances of developing specific neurotraining plans for brain- injured patients.
So moved by witnessing firsthand the progress made by his patients, he analyzed over 20 years of data collected by his mentor in Hawaii and reported his positive findings in 2005.
A skilled neuropsychologist in both the geriatric and brain-injured populations, Dr. Harding has made guest appearances on TV and Radio Talk Shows discussing dementia-related topics.
He is also a frequent speaker at conferences for AARP, care-giver organizations, churches and companies
discussing topics including proper brain stimulation and other dementia prevention strategies.
Being community minded, Dr. Harding has served as Vice Chair of the Hawaii State Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board, Department of Health.
He is also the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Community Mental Health Leader award by Mental Health America of Hawaii.
Working with a group on Neurologists, Dr. Harding created a Neuropsychology Department that provided training and supervision for future doctoral students studying geriatric neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Harding believes in "Paying it Forward."

Steve Blake, ScD is a doctor of science specializing in nutritional biochemistry. Dr. Blake has recently joined us and is now Director of Nutritional Neuroscience at the Maui Memory Clinic.
He worked as Faculty Nutritional Biochemist at Hawaii Pacific Neuroscience for years. He just published a clinical study in the Journal of Brain Sciences on reversing dementia. He is research director at the Neuroscience Nutrition Foundation. He has presented grand rounds at many hospitals. He is recently credentialed to work in China setting up hospital programs to reverse disorders using nutrition. He is author of 16 major works on the effects of nutrition on health, including Nutrients for Memory (www.drsteveblake.com).
Televised chef Catherine Blake has been teaching about food and nutrition for optimal health for over 35 years. Certified by Cornell in nutrition, she is one of the authors of the Hawaii Prevention Dementia Trial. Catherine can show you how food can help to reduce memory problems. She has been recently credentialed to work in China setting up hospital programs to reverse disorders using nutrition.
Maile Harding, BA, GHA Office Manager, Maui Memory Clinic
Maile Harding is a certified Gerontology Health Administrator and social worker specializing in the geriatric population. She is also an expert psychometrist who has assisted in training doctoral graduate students in neuropsychological assessment protocols for many years. Maile has worked at the Maui County Office of Aging helping many seniors and there families navigate the complex Medicare system and local resources for senior care. She also serves as Office manager at the Maui Memory Clinic coordinating patient care.
